Seminar on Cyber Safety & Security A Seminar cum workshop on Cyber Safety & Security was arranged at Mount Carmel Convent High School, Chandrapur on 19th August 2023 for parents, teachers and students. A nationally renowned, resourceful and eminent personality – Mr. Sunil Sadasivan, who is a professional at IT Domain since more than 25 years and conducted more than 400 Workshops PAN India including judiciary, Police, Corporates and Educational Institutions, graced the event as the Guest Speaker. The Seminar was conducted in 3 Sessions one each for Parents of Grade VI – X, Students of Grade VI –X and for the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, which was attended in huge numbers. Mr. Sunil Sadasivan created awareness about safe using of mobile phones, which are the easiest & soft targets of cyber-crimes. He enriched and educated the audience on Cyber Literacy - Mobile Crimes and Security, Email Crimes and Security, Social Media Crimes, Frauds and Safe e-banking, Photo ID Crimes, Online Safe Search & Browsing, Mobile and Card Loss Formalities, Hackers & Password Attacks and Modern Threats and Government Support. The suggested preventive measures include reduced no. of Apps installed on phones, usage of different mobile numbers for Banking and Social Media, following Cyber Ethics and sharing sensitive and personal data with no one. The sessions received an overwhelming response as number of queries were raised during and at the end of sessions, which were satisfactorily responded by the Resource Person. The event was a great success and the parents, students and teachers expressed their profound gratitude to Mr. Sunil Sadasivan, Principal Sr. Nithya and the School Management for such an insightful and informative session.
